Kenyon Dixon is a multi-GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter, and torchbearer for modern R&B–proving the genre is not just alive, but thriving. With smooth, soul-stirring vocals and a pen rooted in truth, love and timeless storytelling, the Los Angeles native has quietly become one of the most respected voices in contemporary music.
Dixon's career began behind the scenes, working with legends like Tank, Tyrese, and Faith Evans, and lending his voice to major artists including Nick Jonas, Jill Scott, and Kirk Franklin. But it's his solo catalog that's solidified his place in R&B. From Expectations to Closer to The R&B You Love, he's delivered a steady run of critically acclaimed top 5 iTunes charting albums that both honor the genre's roots and reimagine its future.
His 2023 and 2024 GRAMMY nominations for "Lucky" and "Can I Have This Groove" (both from The R&B You Love: Soul of the '70s) marked a defining moment in his solo career. That same year, he completed his second headlining tour in support of the album, with most dates selling out nationwide.
Most recently, Dixon released Come As You Are–a collaborative R&B, soul, and jazz fusion album with super-producer Terrace Martin, best known for his work on Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly and good kid, m.A.A.d city. The project is already earning widespread acclaim for its bold fusion of genres, spiritual depth, and cultural authenticity, and earned two GRAMMY nominations in 2026.
Now enternig a new chapter, Dixon releases his latest single, "Talk You Through It," available now–a smooth, emotionally intentinal record that continues his signature approach to storytelling through intimacy, vulnerability, and R&B, setting the tone for his forthcoming album.
Beyond his own records, Dixon's creative footprint spans across the industry. He co-wrote 10 songs on Justin Timberlak's latest album Everything I Thought It Was, arranged and vocvally produced the "ICU" Remix for Coco Jones, and co-wrote "Keep Going Up." He also served as music director for Revolt TV's The Link Up II and continues to be a go-to collaborator for artists across genres.
Dixon's music has also made its way to the screen, featured in hit shows and films like The Chi, Bel-Air, and Tyler Perry's Divorce in the Black. In 2025, he earned an NAACP Image Award nomination for Best Collaboration for his duet "Whatcha Done Now" with R&B powerhouse Leela James–adding another milestone to an already stellar run.
