Karen Shiraishi is a British-Japanese pianist and composer based in New Orleans. A recipient of the Chamber Music America Performance Plus grant, Shiraishi’s debut album featuring Herlin Riley, Max Moran, Andrew Baham and Julian Lee, is set to be released in 2026. Already having developed a self-assured, recognisable voice as a composer and improviser, her music is melodically driven, harmonically rich, and imbued with swing. She has gained attention in the traditional music scene, appearing with Shannon Powell, Kermit Ruffins, Stephen Walker and the Preservation Hall All-Stars. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
