Only 28 years old, he has already recorded and toured worldwide with such artists as Buster Williams, Jeremy Pelt, Wallace Roney, J.D. Allen, Terrace Martin, Nicholas Payton, Marcus Strickland, Abraham Burton, Harold Mabern, Steve Davis, Stefon Harris, and many more. Barber has also been called on for such significant performances as Jimmy Greene’s Ana Grace Project (with an all-star band comprised of Greene, Kenny Barron, John Patitucci, and Kurt Elling) and back-to-back sold-out concerts with the Brooklyn Philharmonic and Erykah Badu at the BAM Opera House.  In addition to his first-call status as a sideman, Barber has recently stepped forth as a composer and leader with his Vision Ahead band, featuring saxophonist Godwin Louis, guitarist Andrew Renfroe, bassist Matt Dwonszyk, and pianist Taber Gable. Even with Barber’s history of high-profile gigs and recordings taken into consideration, DownBeat magazine calls Vision Ahead’s self-titled debut album his “greatest accomplishment to date.” ~~Scullers Jazz Club’s Boathouse 400 restaurant rekindles the magic of the great supper clubs with our Dinner and Show Package that enlivens all of the senses. The 3 course menu features a diverse selection of appetizers, entrees, desserts and one glass of house red or white wine or non-alcoholic beverage. For a nominal fee, guests can upgrade their beverage selection.  The menu changes seasonally to ensure only the freshest ingredients are used! Dinner is at 6pm in the Boathouse 400 Restaurant Dinner and Show Package customers’ show tickets can be picked up at the Boathouse 400 restaurant while dining.     *All Dinner and Show Package prices do not reflect applicable taxes, gratuity or additional beverages.  For your convenience an 18% server gratuity and 7.00% state & local tax will be added to your check and a $50 credit will be applied toward restaurant charges.  Packages and tickets are non-refundable.
