Joe Krown is a keyboardist based out of New Orleans and is renowned for his New Orleans style piano and Hammond B3 organ work.  Joe has toured all over the U.S. & Europe and performs at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival regularly.  He is a master of the boogie woogie piano style and deep blues with 9 albums under his belt. He was Gatemouth Brown’s favorite keyboardist and tours with Kenny Wayne Shepherd.   Papa Mali is a New Orleans based record producer, guitarist, singer, and songwriter who grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana.  He has been a touring musician and recording artist for decades.  Papa Mali is probably best known as the front man for 7 Walkers, a band formed in 2009 that includes three musical icons: Grateful Dead founding member and drummer Bill Kreutzmann, The Meters’ founding bassist, George Porter Jr. and lyricist Robert Hunter. His work as a producer includes 7 Walkers (Response, 2010), The Phenomenal Ruthie Foster (Blue Corn, 2007) and records by Lavelle White, Omar and the Howlers, Wendy Colonna, The Greyhounds and others.   The two join forces tonight for an out of this world soulful musical journey.
