Drummer/percussionist/Dj/composer Alex Santilli (known as Anacleto) is a Chicago native and current percussionist for soul giants "Thee Sacred Souls", as well as playing in a plethora of Chicago groups/collectives. Ranging everywhere from jazz to the free/avant garde, Afro Cuban, Brazilian, contemporary groove/beat and soul music. The self proclaimed Ethnomusicologist has traveled all over the globe doing fieldwork, in search of the rhythms/songs that bind humanity. His music selections and performances reflect a deep respect for the history and origins, showcasing their roots across different genres and cultures. While always moving forward with current musical styles and genres, Anacleto remains grounded in classics. “The Adventures of Anacleto" is comprised of a mix of compositions/productions and improvisations.
