JayDon, formerly known as JD McCrary, is a multi-talented artist from LA whose blend of acting, singing, and dancing informs a fresh, modern take on R&B. He first broke through playing Kenny Payne in The Paynes and voicing Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King (2019). Influenced by Usher, and and Bobby Brown, JayDon seamlessly merges classic and contemporary R&B—capturing what he calls being “an Artist of All Realms.”
In 2025, he built incredible momentum with releases like “Lullaby” (feat. Paradise), “I’ll Be Good,” “Boujee Baby” (feat. Zeddy Will), and “The Way You Move.” Critics are taking notice: RNB Lounge calls him “what the future of R&B looks like,” RNB Radar says he’s “4 for 4 with his new singles this year,” and Billboard praises him as a “rising triple-threat helping L.A. Reid & USHER bring real R&B back", while naming him their 2025 June R&B Rookie of the Month. He also was a 2025 EBONY Power 100 recipient.
“Lullaby,” which first released in February, has continued to grow since its release, consistently breaking its highest streaming days. The song has also had incredible success in Asia, staying #1 on the South Korea Viral 50 chart for nine weeks and receiving co-signs from multiple prominent K-Pop groups, including RIIZE and TREASURE. Following his performance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, clips across his and Jennifer’s platforms have amassed over 14M combined views on TikTok and Instagram. On 11/21, JayDon released a “Lullaby” remix featuring Jay Park, LOUIS, & Paradise, building off the record’s K-Pop momentum. He then followed that up with the “Lullaby (mega remix)" featuring USHER & Paradise which marked a huge moment in his career.
One of JayDon’s biggest highlights of the year was the release of his debut mixtape Me My Songs & I on 10/10. The project has performed exceptionally well and has been overwhelmingly embraced by fans across socials—solidifying 2025 as a true breakout year. Beyond his recording success, JayDon sold out his first-ever headline show at The Echo in LA on 10/21.
Now in 2026, JayDon is building on his momentum, entering what’s set to be another milestone year, with recognition from Spotify Artists to Watch 2026, Shazam’s Fast Forward List for 2026, and Amazon Music’s 2026 Artists to Watch.
