Jason Marsalis is the youngest son of piano patriarch and jazz luminary Ellis Marsalis Jr. and their famous New Orleans music family, declared "America's First Family of Jazz" upon the presentation of their NEA Jazz Masters Award in 2011, the nation's highest jazz honor. In addition to his renown as a drummer, Jason is also a respected vibraphonist whose 2018 release "Melody Reimagined" with his 21st Century Trad Jazz Band rose swiftly to the top of the Billboard jazz chart. With a fire in his heart and a passion for the music, his will to swing has never been more resolute. The maturity and the command Jason possesses over his music is clearly evident to those who have heard or seen him.    Honduran-born pianist Oscar Rossignoli folds many traditions into his music, from his classical music formation to his passion for Latin and North American jazz. He’s currently based in New Orleans and works with some of the city’s best jazz musicians. He has also established his reputation in various settings and bands, including the EXTENDED trio with Matt Booth and Brad Webb, and by leading his own quartet. His latest self-released album, “Inertia,” marks his first full-length solo piano project. The record, which he says he had been wanting to do for a long time, showcases his long relationship with his instrument of choice, as well as his process of discovery through improvisation. Tracks range from original compositions to improvisations and include a nod to Chopin and a tribute to the late great Chick Corea.  Rossignoli collaborates on a wide range of projects with artists such as John Boutte, Jason Marsalis, Joe Dyson, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Alexey Marti, among many others.  Tonight, Jason and Oscar present their new duo project for this intimate evening.  Shows at 8pm & 10pm.  Doors at 7:00pm & 9:30pm.     Restaurant is open 5pm - 10pm for dinner before or after your showtime:    Advance Ticket Holders can now automatically make dinner table reservations for the Dining Room online via OpenTable.com !
