Jasen Weaver is a highly regarded New Orleans–born bassist, composer, and bandleader, now based in Belgium, known for his deep tone, versatility, and commanding stage presence. A vital figure on the jazz scene, he has performed and toured with artists including Donald Harrison, Ellis Marsalis, Jason Marsalis, Herlin Riley, Adonis Rose, and Stefon Harris, excelling across styles from traditional jazz to modern fusion and funk. Equally adept at anchoring ensembles with precision and delivering melodic, expressive solos, Weaver is also the leader of the Jasen Weaver Band, where his original compositions blend modern jazz with soulful melodies and New Orleans influences, as showcased on his acclaimed debut album, The Voscoville.
