Three releases and 600+ shows later, they have firmly established themselves as an utterly unique and powerful force in the roots world. From the ashes of Curio (2009-2019) comes Wendigo Fever; a country twang-infused rock n’ roll outfit from Chicago.  In 2024, songwriter Chris Pluska assembled long-time collaborators Donovan Foote (bass) and Gary Landess (drums) to flesh out a project that had been kicking around since the pandemic.  Inspired by and using the themes of the Native American folklore surrounding the Wendigo, a supernatural creature that stands as a cautionary tale against selfishness and isolation, the band conjures a feral sound with songs about loss, temptation, and the struggles within.
