Lei Dominique masters trusting in her journey with new EP, ‘Nostalgic Tear.’ The Chicago artist’s debut EP is inspired by the last few years of her life and tells her story through five melodious, playful tracks. Part of moving forward is letting go, and Lei takes us on her journey of acceptance and closure. After hearing the phrase “nostalgic tears” on old-time radio theater in Miami a few years back, Lei knew this would be the name of the EP that would come to life once she got a chance to live hers a bit more. The title evolved to a singular ‘Nostalgic Tear’ to symbolize the end of a chapter in her life, signaling an eagerness for new beginnings. While dealing with a vocal injury in 2021 that left her unable to sing or talk for a month, Lei found solace and hope in this project. She hopes you can do the same.
