Raised in suburban Vancouver, Kaleah began playing music at her local church, eventually focusing on piano and guitar as she got older. She wrote her first original song in 2020, and was persuaded by her sister to post it online. Within her first few posts, Kaleah started turning heads with her original songs on TikTok, eventually receiving the attention of Taylor Swift, Bon Iver, Lizzy McAlpine, Mustafa, Maggie Rogers, Gracie Abrams, and more.
That buzz turned into high demand to release original music; Kaleah responded in 2022 with her debut, ‘Heavy Handed,’ followed by a string of singles that amassed critical & peer acclaim as well as tremendous editorial support landing her on playlists covers and watch lists like ‘Fresh Finds: Class of’ (Spotify), ‘Rising’ (Tidal) and ‘Breaking’ Singer-Songwriter (Apple).
Kaleah has since upped the ante, performing at SXSW, touring with Del Water Gap, Leith Ross & Searows, and releasing her self-written & self-produced critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Birdwatcher’, cementing herself as a rising multi-hyphenate.
