Jaime "Birdman" Acosta
-
Jamie “Birdman” Acosta, Founder, and Co-Producer of "Vato from Another Taco," is a seasoned stand-up comedian with 14 years of experience in the comedy circuit. His journey began after being challenged to a Yo Mama battle by George Perez at the San Jose Improv in March 2010, sparking a passion for comedy that has taken him across the country. With performances in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Reno, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Pleasanton, Birdman has shared the stage with comedy greats like Edwin San Juan, Felipe Esparza, Willie Barcena, and Paul Rodriguez. Known for his edgy style, Birdman's comedy blends observation, storytelling, and sharp one-liners, drawing inspiration from his life experiences, including his time spent on “vacation”. He earned his nickname "Birdman" from his love for riding his beach cruiser with his beloved birds, Paco the umbrella cockatoo, and a blue and gold macaw, perched on his shoulders. With credits in various appearances in Felipe Esparza's specials, including "Translate This" on HBO and Felipe Esparza's "The Shop" comedy shorts, Birdman continues to spread laughter and joy, living and loving life while putting smiles on the faces of audiences everywhere.
