Jackstraw formed in 1997 when rhythm guitarist Darrin Craig and lead player Jon Neufeld met mandolin picker David Pugh and bassist Jesse Withers at Artichoke Music, a Portland guitar store. Six records and 15 years later, the band has toured throughout the United States, playing roadhouses, clubs, listening rooms and festivals. Along the way, they have shared bills with bluegrass greats such as Del McCoury and Tim O’Brien and have welcomed legends like Danny Barnes and Tony Furtado as temporary band mates. The band’s devoted following includes bluegrass purists, alt-country fans, kids looking to dance, and people who know a good tune when they hear one. They’ve picked up a reputation over the years for their impeccable musicianship and hard-driving original songs. Recently they have added Annie Staninec on fiddle and her amazing talents fold with the group naturally and brings a new added energy.

Born in the backyards of Utah, forged in the wilds of Alaska, and tested on the road across 13+ states, The Last Wild Buffalo is more than just a band—it's a movement. An Americana powerhouse blending folk, rock, bluegrass, and a rebellious streak of punk, they burst onto the scene with an energy and sound as untamed as the landscapes that shaped them. Originally finding their sound in Alaska, Jonny Celaya and Isaac Woodruff returned home and set fire to the Utah music scene while attending Utah State University, quickly becoming a local sensation. In June of 2024, the band officially formed, adding members Ella Celaya and Troy Lybbert. Together, they hit the road on a self-funded nine-week tour, playing 33+ shows across the country. By year's end, they had performed more than 100 times, sharpening their live show into an electrifying experience and building a fiercely loyal fan base along the way. That momentum carried through the release of their self-titled debut album and a surprise EP, culminating in near-instant sellouts at home-state venues across Utah's diverse music scene. In 2025, The Last Wild Buffalo returned to the studio and poured themselves into what would become their second full-length album, set for release on April 24, 2026. Torn in the best way between the road and the writing room, the band has continued to chase something deeper than songs alone. For them, this has never just been about music. It's about building something lasting, something real, and creating a space where every person who walks into a show feels like they belong. Mark Tegio is a singer-songwriter, guitar player, and storyteller based in Portland, Oregon. Tegio has been playing music since childhood when his Dad bought him his first guitar in a small shop in Southern California. Though he played guitar and fronted some bands in high school, his music took a backseat for the meantime while working towards his college degree. After graduating from UC Berkeley in 2017, with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, he threw himself into "the drudgery of the 9-5 work week." Feeling unfulfilled and uninspired, he left that world, solely devoting himself to his music. Living a transient life in a van, playing music had wholly pervaded his being. His first tour with "Smith and Tegio" (a duo formed with his longtime friend Austin Smith) cemented his reverence for the road. Since then, Tegio has been able to scrape together a living as a solo musician, touring musician, and guitarist in multiple country bands in Portland. Tegio's songs include tales of wanderers and outcasts, dreamers and revelers, lovers and losers; all of whom he has been at one time or another. Originally from San Diego himself, Tegio found fellow native Tom Waits to be an early influence. Waits' fantastical songs of seedy, sordid characters, accompanied by his raspy, guttural voice, inspired Tegio's writing and singing. When Tegio was introduced to Texas songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt and Blaze Foley, he was quick to adapt some of his favorite aspects of their writing into his own developing style. Townes' dark, poetic imagery, especially of natural beauty, paired with his lonesome yet hopeful songs, combined with the levity Foley frequently used in songs and Waits' depictive storytelling, unite to create the holy union of barroom poetry that is Mark Tegio's sound.
