L.A. native Jack Allen, has been playing guitar behind and with some of the most iconic artists and groups in the world. From Eddy Grant to David Sanborn, George Benson to Joe Lovano, not to mention his first local #47 pro gig at L.A.'s legendary Parisian Room with vocalist Gloria Lynne, just to name a few.

After decades of backing and supporting other artists, Jack is premiering and supporting the release of his CD, Nawlins Boy, a tribute to his father an ex dancer and part of an opening act for Duke Ellington and others.
Jack's November 2nd's appearance at Catalina's,
includes vibraphonist Onaje Murray (also featured on the CD), Count Basie Band alum, Trevor Ware on acoustic bass, and former Tonight Show stalwart, Smitty Smith on drums. They'll be playing selections from the CD as well as jazz standards.
Jack composed and arranged 4 originals on the 7 track CD which features childhood friend Azar Lawrence, Munyungo Jackson, Land Richards, Ernest Tibbs, Todd Hunter as well as some of L.A. finest musicians.
