His name comes from the quote "You are the sky, and everything else is just the weather," a philosophy that mirrors both his sound and his outlook: observing life as it unfolds, finding permanence in impermanence, and turning self-reflection into forward motion. Skyz has recently released his debut album, WEHAVEAPROBLEM. A cosmic hip-hop odyssey told from the perspective of an alien  who crash-lands on Earth in search of an identity. While continuing to push the project, Skyz is already working on its sequel, balancing creation with life as a student at Loyola University New Orleans.
