David Colón is an American singer-songwriter, filmmaker, and creative director whose career bridges music, film, and television. With roots in New York City and Miami, Colón first gained national recognition with his song Weather the Storm, an anthem for those affected by Hurricane Andrew in 1991. Following that success, he gathered local artists in a Miami studio to record a Christmas song that became a celebratory anthem for the community,  one that still lives on to this day. The project reflected Colón’s collaborative heart, a trait that has continued to shape his work throughout his career. By age 19, Colón had signed his first record deal with Abacus records and gone on to collaborate with artists and producers including Raul Malo of The Mavericks, Billy Mann, and George Noriega. As the founder and frontman of the band Small Town Fair, Colón has released multiple albums blending folk, rock, soul, and Americana. Their 2016 album A Beautiful Distraction earned the group Short Film Music Video of the Year honors, further solidifying Colón’s reputation for pairing powerful songwriting with visual storytelling.
