$5 advance/$10 day of show Quarx is a four-piece group where each member bringings a unique musical background to form a common musical goal. The group focuses on creating chemistry between each other and blending the influences of funk, punk, progressive and psychedelic rock, the blues, and jazz to produce "wholesale rock-n-roll," a term they coined themselves. EAch member is given equal creative input and freedom, allowing the group songwriting process to become as complex or as simple as the story trying to be told. They believe that they shine the most in a live setting. Improvisation, rotating setlists, and guest appearences mean one thing: you never know what you'll get at Quarx show. Slick Back Jacques & the Lucid Blues is an out-ther funk and punk band from New Orleans. Tight licks and soulful melodies mixed with room to dance and get weird.
