Though the DWIGHT TWILLEY BAND only had one hit (individually he had another on his own), TWILLEY and writing partner PHIL SEYMOUR created an enduring and highly memorable brand of power pop that blended Beatles-esque pop and Sun rockabilly "slapback" echo. TWILLEY and his band appeared on American Bandstand before releasing their classic debut album Sincerely, which featured Top 20 Billboard song "I'm On Fire." Though only a fraction of the band's early output was made available at the time, these records are highly revered by power pop aficionados. Oak Park's own PEZBAND formed in 1971 and are one of the best rock'n'roll bands you've never heard of. The trio is reuniting this year for a tour around the UK and their first ever tour to JAPAN this year and we couldn't feel any prouder to host them before TWILLEY and his band take the stage. Last year GAMES released one of those records you won’t know how you’ve lived without, and you probably have no idea how bad you need it. HoZac released the album and it's pure pop bliss, a crystal-clear shot in the arm to the current state of rock’n roll, a genuine reflection, an instant hit, and something for New Yorkers to be proud of. Playing fast and loose with garage rock snottiness on their EP Meet the Sueves, out last summer via Dowager Records, THE SUEVES open the final night of this year's Blackout Fest - another one for the ages, folks.
