    Stand-up

    Samantha Hale is the creator and host of “Horror Nerd,” the monthly horror-themed stand-up comedy show at the Hollywood Improv. Her latest special, Samantha Hale: Horror Nerd was recently released by Comedy Dynamics. Samantha has appeared and hosted at comedy clubs nationwide as well as at more unusual locations such as Midsummer Scream and other horror conventions, San Diego and Los Angeles Comic Cons, and Missing at the Mortuary, a funeral home-turned-event space that is the subject of HBO’s docuseries The Mortician. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Samantha is following in the comedic footsteps of her grandfather, Alan Hale, Jr., best known as The Skipper from Gilligan’s Island, and her great-grandfather, Alan Hale, Sr., who played opposite Errol Flynn in classic Hollywood swashbuckler films.

    Mary Huth is an Asian, lesbian empty-nester, born in Japan and based in Los Angeles. Mary misguidedly stepped away from a career in publishing with the Wall Street Journal to raise twin boys. She delivers perspectives on favorite topics, including politics, parenting, relationships, LGBTQ issues, diversity, and pop culture. She was recently featured at the Asian Comedy Fest in New York and will be at the Boulder Comedy Festival in Colorado in June.

    A Los Angeles-based comic by night, and a full-time theater and film director by day. Performing at the Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory, San Diego Pride, National Lampoon, Comedy Chateau, Mad House, and many more. Producer and creator of the Red Button Show and Madlibs Family Sitcom, co-host Fun Mug comedy show, and a performer with the Extra Chunky Sketch team. Performing at the MILF, Laugh Riot Girl, and Comedy Chateau festivals. She has acted in shows at Santa Monica Playhouse, Hollywood Fringe Festival, BFF Festival, Project 48, Minnesota Children’s Theater, Hamline University, the London West End, and Guthrie Theater. As well as acting in over 150 film and television projects. Her biggest feat is being a pet mom to a cat, two rabbits, two geckos and a fish.
