Hunter and Wolfe,
Featured in the LA Times, Wonderland Magazine, LA WEEKLY, Under the radar and achieving international radio play, FV was selected as by 89.5 FM Australia as a buzz band to watch (2019). Drawing packed crowds at cult venues like The Troubadour in LA, they continue to thrive amongst the cynical and disconnected youth who want to revisit grunge and female anger at our world.
PRISMS, the latest EP positions itself amongst other psych rock acts but brings a sense of rootlessness, dissociation, and nonchalant fury that swirl through a dreamscape underbelly.
"Let’s face it, the sounds of blended punk rock have made a triumphant return this year. And, if you have found yourselves enjoying tracks featuring grungey tones blaring over sweet melodies as of late, Fox Violet’s “Long Way Down” is the only song you should be listening to. With vocals oozing gritty angst, all the while maintaining an ethereal tone, listeners can expect to get lost in the sounds of infectious rock instrumentation as the artist offers deep introspective contemplations throughout." -Wonderland Magazine, 2021
Holy Vulture is a heavy rock band from Astoria, Queens. Consisting of singer/guitarist Dante Vessio, drummer Misia Vessio and bassist AJ Vandael, the trio released their highly anticipated self-titled debut EP in 2019, along with their self-produced music video for their single, “Call My Name”. Their latest release, “Holy Vulture: Live in New York” captures the bands powerful performance that is brought with every live show.
Drawing from influences as disparate as psychedelic rock, alternative soul, and hardcore grunge, the band has crafted a sound that is at once deeply familiar and uncompromisingly new. Holy Vulture frequently performs throughout the city and their music is available on all streaming platforms.
Brooklyn-based duo hunter & wolfe often wrap their vulnerable lyrical content in sarcasm and loud indie-rock stylings. They’ve been compared to Arcade Fire, Jeff Buckley, and “Coldplay meets arena rock”. They’re not sure what that means, either.
Vocalist Michael Maffei and guitarist Sundeep Kapur ensure that their messages about complacency, lost love, and the paradox of choice in the modern era reflect both a seriousness and the self-awareness to not take themselves too seriously.
Starting in 2011, hunter & wolfe released a self-titled EP and a full-length album, Days and Works. hunter & wolfe released their latest record, Late Then Never, in November 2017. To date, Late Then Never has been featured in Spotify’s Fresh Finds, Impose Magazine, and The Deli Magazine among others.
4-piece psych rock band, The Natural Supernatural, formed in 2019 after years of percolation. Combining decades of dedication with an eclectic music taste, the band tries to combine their unique parts to create a consistent, yet ever-evolving sound.
What they have come up with represents the best of their abilities: a tight and explosive rhythm section, a myriad of auxiliary sound, relentless solos, and lyrics and vocals that speak to the listener.
