A Holiday Celebration with Debby Boone: You Light Up My Life 40th Anniversary Event Saturday, December 9, 2017 2:00 pm The four time Grammy-winning music icon joins us for a special holiday screening and conversation in celebration of the 40th anniversary of her classic Grammy and Oscar-winning hit “You Light Up My Life.”  Boone will screen Paley Archive clips from her TV specials & appearances along with favorite holiday appearances with Perry Como, the Boone Family and more. As a special treat, she will close the program by performing a holiday favorite. Ms. Boone will also sign copies of the new 40th anniversary “You Light Up My Life” CD release following the program.   4:00 pm Special Screening of O’Henry’s The Gift of the Magi (1978) Following the conversation with Debby Boone, join us for a special screening of the 1978 TV musical adaptation of O’Henry’s classic Christmas tale about a struggling young couple deeply in love. Boone, in her acting debut, costars with a host of television favorites including John Rubinstein, Jo Anne Worley, Peter Graves, Jim Backus and Alan Young. The lavishly staged video-taped production, directed by Marc Daniels (I Love Lucy),  features original music by Stanley Lebowsky (Irma la Douce) and lyrics by Fred Tobias (All that Jazz).
