Hobo Johnson
The debut album was called The Rise of Hobo Johnson, and it really lived up to its name. Self-produced, self-recorded, and originally self-released in late 2017, it powered a breakout year that most musicians can only dream of, beginning with the backyard performance of “Peach Scone” that brought Hobo Johnson (née Frank Lopes Jr.) YouTube viewers by the millions, and ending with a huge, intensely devoted fan base eagerly, anticipating his next move. We’ve witnessed The Fall of Hobo Johnson, seen his Revenge, and now his return. Back to his roots as a solo performer and putting forth the honesty and emotions fans have come to expect and love. From busking in the streets of Sacramento to selling out shows all over the world Hobo Johnson returns with brand new music and a brand new tour.

Frank Lopes Jr. (born December 22, 1994), best known as Hobo Johnson, is an American vocalist and frontman of the band Hobo Johnson & The Lovemakers, blending emo rap, spoken word, and raw hip‑hop. After gaining viral fame in 2018 with the Tiny Desk video for “Peach Scone,” the band released their major‑label debut, The Rise of Hobo Johnson, which reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. They followed up in 2019 with The Fall of Hobo Johnson, a confessional album exploring jealousy, heartbreak, and emotional vulnerability. After a creative hiatus in 2021–22 and a brief breakup of the LoveMakers, Lopes returned in 2024 with the double single “Dad’s Bed” / “Metaverse”, signaling a stylistic pivot back toward emotionally charged, band-driven songs. The project, often referred to as Hobo Johnson Drinks!, has since been officially released as a full album in 2025, marking his latest exploration of candid lyricism and spiky blend of rap, folk, and spoken‑word. His newest single “You & Me” is out now on all streaming platforms.
