“Hendrix Effect” is a three piece band from Northwest Indiana. A dedication to Jimi Hendrix, but we also play blues and other classics from this era since Jimi loved the blues and covers. We have Paul Navarro on guitar and lead vocals, Mason Wilson on bass, and Jesse Fernandez on drums/vocals. Started as a side project for Paul, Roger, and Jesse to perform our favorite Jimi Hendrix songs at open mic nights across the region; you may have caught us in our formative time testing songs as we learned them. Hendrix Effect played their first club date in August 2023. Jimi’s catalog is deep with “blues, rock, and freak-out tunes” as he himself labeled it. While ‘Are You Experienced? boasts his essentials, we take our listeners on a journey through all three studio albums such as the Band of Gypsy’s, live and deep cuts that all fans will love. Through the summer of 2024, Hendrix Effect played and headlined numerous festivals in the Region. In October 2024, Paul was invited to host a monthly “Hendrix Jam” at Verona’s Pizza in Valparaiso, Indiana. All ages welcome and encouraged to jam! Catch even bigger things happening in 2026!

Gerhart, which means "Brave heart," is a new age classic rock band hailing from Dyer, Indiana. The band consists of Kevin Badten (Lead vocals, Bass), Nick Smith (drums), and Drew Burrell (guitar, back up vocals). Founded in 2011 while still in their teens, Gerhart quickly gained recognition by winning several "Battle of the Bands" in the region and receiving praise from various media outlets, including X-Rock correspondent Tom Lounges. Their music has been featured in publications such as The Times, Tribune, NWI Entertainer, NWI Musicians, and Region Music. Additionally, they have made guest appearances on numerous radio stations in Northwest Indiana. They were also featured in the show "Night of the Living Jam." Gerhart regularly performs at various establishments, festivals, fairs, and benefits throughout the region. They have had the honor of playing at the Chicago Congress Theater and have opened for notable bands like Alice in Chains and Black Label Society on two occasions at the amphitheater "The Rave." The band covers a wide array of classic rock favorites from the 60s to the present. The essence of their original sound is a blend of modern and reimagined classic rock, characterized by perfect timing and unique synchronicity. Gerhart draws inspiration from and is often compared to iconic bands like Led Zeppelin with their eclectic, psychedelic feel, AC/DC's high energy, and Black Sabbath's tone and groove. With their astounding talent, Gerhart will entertain you and create an unforgettable experience that will rock your heart and soul!
