Heaven ride a massive sonic wave in delivering their dear and dreamy tracks.  Matt Sumrow and Mikey Jones created Heaven in the wake of touring and recording with artists such as DEAN and BRITTA, SWERVEDRIVER, AMBULANCE LTD, CAVEMEN, The COMAS, the LEMONHEADS and others.  After a deep collective pandemic slumber, the NYC based duo are prepping a new release and the most somnambulistic to date, their 3rd full length set for 2024 release.

A sonic blast of guitars, dreamy psychedelia and a propulsive beat that has been compared to being snapped out of a deep slumber by jet engines.  Dead Heart Bloom's core members Boris Skalsky and Paul Wood have long been known for their particular brand of ‘ambient’ rock. The pair originally met up in Washington DC’s early-aughts shoegaze/dreampop band Phaser.  Phaser had made a name for themselves touring with the likes of Spiritualized, Interpol, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Longwave.   Boris Started Dead Heart Bloom as a solo project based in NYC and quickly released a self-titled debut full length and the follow-up acoustic EP Chelsea Diaries.  Soon after, guitarist Paul Wood found himself relocated to the city as well and the pair teamed up, sharing a rehearsal space and studio which produced a string of EPs and a second full length, Strange Waves.   The two briefly joined another former Phaser bandmate, Mike Reina, and Smashing Pumpkin Jimmy Chamberlin as touring musician’s in the Dangerbird Records released band Skysaw.   Upon returning Dead Heart Bloom released another string of 3 EPs, this time produced by Mercury Rev bassist Anthony Molina.  Those EPs were bolstered by a heavier sound with the addition of former Longwave drummer Jason Molina. After a period of focusing on other projects, as well as a pandemic break from live shows, Dead Heart Bloom returns in 2024 with their 3rd full length album, Dream States.

Compatible Animals is an NYC-based indie rock band that makes music meant to be your soundtrack to deciding to burn it all down, holding your head high, and moving on. Currently a duo (singer Keith Madden and guitarist Ben Conover), they’re working on expanding their lineup with bass and drums, as well as release an EP in 2024.
