"I've experienced the beautiful, moving music of Heather Lindaman and her accompanist several times. They are both gifted souls. Their songs are full of personality, passion and character, each one taking you on a new journey.
If you do one thing, watch them live! I think they are hidden gems in the Portland music scene-but not hidden for long."
-Pat Dooris, Emmy Award-winning Journalist
Heather Lee Lindaman's vocal ability has been delighting audiences since she was a young girl. Her crystal-clear lyrics deliver stories in song quite beautifully. Jazz standards, contemporary pop, cinema/musical favorites and even some folk with soul. Like a classic cocktail served with a twist! She has music and performing in her genes. Her mother was a performing arts actress in Portland musical theatre. Her great aunt was a torch singer that recorded in the thirties and forties. It's no surprise that Heather finds synergy when collaborating with amazing talent. "Musicians experience true euphoria in making music and sharing it."
Pianist and composer Rick Modlin has appeared on dozens of recordings with artists from Amsterdam to Brooklyn to Portland. Rick orchestrated Academy-award-winning composer Bobby Lopez's 1001 Nights musical, and has contributed orchestrations for the Broadway version of The Lion King. The Oregonian hailed his 2000 jazz CD Joy to the World as "vigorous and imaginative." Invited to tour with the Broadway productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Mamma Mia, and Legally Blonde, Rick maintains an active musical theatre career at the keyboard and as conductor, with over a dozen Broadway productions to his credit, playing piano behind Maureen McGovern, Toni Tenille and Molly Ringwald, among others.
