Across two records that spoke to the quietest of bleeding hearts, Harmony Woods expanded on processing grief, trauma, and other aftermaths. GRACEFUL RAGE—their third and Bartees Strange-produced LP—allows revelations to blossom on their own terms. It’s the Philly band at their most aware and assured, snug behind a radio-ready punch.

Calicoco is the project of Long Beach multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Giana Caliolo. Their spacious melancholy becomes a burst of melody
and rhythm, inner turmoil channeled outward into the ether. Calicoco’s sophomore record ‘Underneath’ was released September 3, 2021 on Dadstache Records.
“‘Underneath ties the meaning of all of these songs together for me,” says Caliolo. “This record is a lot of the discomfort of living in my own skin.” Caliolo recorded in Rochester in January 2020 with friends Stephen Roessner and Phil Shaw. Caliolo, Shaw, and Roessner shared production duties, and Roessner handled engineering, mixing, and mastering. Surrounded by supports and community in Rochester, Caliolo dug deep for what would become the undressed honesty and painful volatility that color Underneath with such intense directness.’” -Luke Ottenhof -
Good Looking Friends is an ongoing collaboration between three doctors and their wacky, melancholic friend. GLF occupies the venn diagram overlap of Math Rock, Post Rock, and "Atmoemo" (see 5th Wave Emo Categorization Meme) while talking about science fiction.
"Good Looking Friends' 'The Light of the Well' Is Subtly Extraordinary Emo" - Exclaim
“Sparse percussion and glimmering guitar licks prelude delightful sonic chaos” ‐ Culture Collide
"While they may not be 'Good Looking,' they do have that 'I Don't Know What!'" - Audiofuzz
"Good Looking Friends are defined first and foremost by their lyrical complexity, and Fischer can’t help but talk about You Won’t Die in almost literary terms." - Consequence of Sound

Slight Of weaves dreamy melodies into infectious power pop gems with songs that explore the dark side of middle class America, doomed love affairs, and 2000s era computer games.
