Garage Rock
Gus Baldwin & The Sketch
Gus Baldwin & The Sketch
Garage Rock
Gus Baldwin is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter/ex-hippie/part-time punk hailing from Austin, TX. After a stint holding down drums for Dallas surf punk legends Sealion in high school, Baldwin went on to form the Psych Pop combo Acid Carousel, which he led for 6 years and 20 something releases before departing the band on Halloween night 2021.
Since leaving Carousel, Gus has made a name for himself as a solo artist in Austin, constantly performing as a singer/songwriter, one man garage band, or with his band The Sketch. Quickly releasing a string of titles on his own GetWithIt! Records imprint, including the EPs “THRILLER II”, “Live Bugs”, as well as a slew of singles, Gus established himself firmly as the godson of Texas rock'n’ roll. Splitting his time as a frequent collaborator with The Black Angels, Baldwin also works with the likes of Christian Bland & The Revelators as well as The UFO Club with Night Beats frontman, Danny Lee Blackwell.

Rock
Abby Jeanne has been an artist her entire life. While growing up in Milwaukee,WI, she was indoctrinated into a public art schooling experiment. As a pre-teen she was socially adopted by a Rock N’Roll cafe cult, where she wrote music, painted, dreamed and fed her deep infatuation for records of 60’s pop, underground and soul. (Via the haunted jukebox that lived there.) A series of family tragedies including the loss of her family home and the suicide of her prophetic sister led her to living in a car. With her talent and strength she pursued her dreams of being a surviving artist which eventually led her overseas where she began to carve out her music career. She now resides in NYC putting out records and touring the world.

Psychedelic
Evolfo
Evolfo
Psychedelic
Evolfo’s homegrown musical universe is forever expanding. If the Brooklyn-based pysch rockers felt pressured to repeat the successes of their 2017albumLast of the Acid Cowboysthey certainly didn’t show it. One might think a band that racked up 6 million plus streams on their debut record would try to recreate this by doing more of the same. But when the 7 members of Evolfo piled into the tiny, sweltering, attic-turned-recording studio of band leader Matt Gibbs’ Ditmas Park home, they intended to step confidently forward into fresh sounds and more vivid conceptual subject matter. They have flipped the world of the Acid Cowboy on its head, departing the earth-bound adventures in melting landscapes, rat cities, and desert sojourns for metaphysical territory and the mountains of the mind. “We’re always going to be in a state of flux,” says Gibbs, who formed the group a decade ago, “I consider this to be an exciting, positive thing. We have to embrace our own change.” On their brand newalbumSite Out of Mind, Evolfo reaches far beyond the confines of genre to create a colorful echo drenched psych rock dream all their own. Adorned with a mind bending cover by visual artist Robert Beatty, the result is a collection of songs that are unexpected, absorbing, and blissfully tripped out.
