Award-winning songwriter Lauren Strange just wants to rock.

A true child of the 90’s, her new EP, Say Yes, echoes the influences of Veruca Salt and early Foo Fighters, while garnering comparisons to contemporaries The Gaslight Anthem and Death Cab For Cutie.

Lauren cut her teeth as a background singer, making a name for herself as one of the most sought-after young vocalists in Music City and collaborating with a wide range of artists, including Paul McCartney, Passion Pit, and Little Anthony & The Imperials.

After being named the Grand-Prize Winner of the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest, Lauren Strange decided to step into the spotlight herself. She formed The Pretty Killers in 2012, and has been winning over crowds ever since. From the dingiest underground clubs to the stage of The Ryman Auditorium, Lauren Strange & The Pretty Killers continue to perform with the reckless abandon of her grunge-rock heroes.

The single from her new EP, Say Yes, was named one of the top fifteen songs of 2014 by Nashville’s biggest rock station, 102.9 The Buzz. The record has gained national acclaim from fans, peers, and critics alike, and endorsements from Gibson/Epiphone Guitars and MAC Cosmetics. Her first full-length album is expected in late 2015.

“If you were to paint Taylor Swift with whiskey barbecue sauce and throw her in a blender with Kurt Cobain’s skull and a pound of sugar, you’d have a Lauren Strange smoothie.”
    - Jonathan Cate, Fancy Rhino Creative Agency

“She has a beautiful voice. I was knocked out by her songwriting…”
    - Jack Douglas (Producer: John Lennon, The Who, Aerosmith)

“…Soaring vocals, powerful lyrics, and catchy, pop-driven rhythms…”
    - Altsounds

“Music City’s answer to Courtney Love…”

“We’ve come too far to pay for a loss of who we are.” So say Nashville, Tennessee rockers The Ivins in the chorus of “Mountains” from their incendiary new album The Code Duello, due April 28. It’s this statement that acts as the battle cry for their brand of alternative - uncompromising, unapologetic and anthemic. Despite the album only arriving now, brothers Jim and Jack Ivins have already received glowing comparisons to the likes of The Killers, Stereophonics & Arctic Monkeys from places like AXS, Chorus.fm and Kings of A&R, among others, while also sharing the stage with artists such as Switchfoot, Rooney, Night Riots, Airborne Toxic Event, Parachute, Mae, From Indian Lakes & The Ataris.

Backed by a powerhouse team, The Code Duello was brought to life with the help of Grammy winner Michael Rosen (AFI, Papa Roach), Grammy nominee Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers), American Music Award winner Bill Leverty (Firehouse), Interscope Records co-founder Beau Hill (Alice Cooper, RATT) and Anthony "Rocky" Gallo (John Legend, Carrie Underwood), as well as a stellar lineup of top notch talent from the band’s original home of Virginia such as Pedro Aida, Andreas Magnusson, John Morand, Steve Barber, Ben Green and Alex DeJong.

Previously based in Richmond, VA and New York City, The Ivins are now residents of Music City. The future is wide open, as the band strive to make rock music that can be relevant, immediate and meaningful to music listeners in 2017 and beyond.
