Greg Piccolo is a renowned figure in the world of jazz, blues, and rhythm & blues, with an extraordinary career spanning over six decades. His skillful tenor saxophone playing, unique vocal style, and charismatic stage presence have earned him a respected place among the best in the industry.
In 1994, Greg launched his own band, Heavy Juice, and has been leading them for over 35 years. With Heavy Juice, Greg has built a reputation for high-energy, spontaneous live performances that blend blues, jazz, rock & roll, and rhythm & blues.
Greg’s musical style incorporates the best elements of his saxophone heroes, infusing his performances with a sense of authenticity and deep musicality. His saxophone playing is rich with nuanced phrasing, and his vocal delivery is equally compelling, serving each song with deep emotion and precision. Greg’s shows are spontaneous and free-form, with no set list, driven by his mood and the energy of the moment. He often switches to guitar during performances, offering his own take on rock and classic rhythm and blues, while also showcasing his songwriting chops.
