Great Moments in Vinyl pays tribute to The Police with a concert of hits and highlights that’ll take you from “Roxanne” to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  They may have started out playing punk, but when it came to influences, The Police had more to draw on than just disillusionment and angst.  They also had the music of Jamaica, jazz, British pop, and Igor Stravinsky.  And what they did with all that inspiration was distill it into a fierce collection of rock gems that sold over 75 million records.

Great Moments in Vinyl plays The Police, August 7th, at SPACE in Evanston.  Featuring a band of GMiV veterans to bring this music to life:  Kevin Campbell, Daniel Rausch, Brian Burke, Greg Woods, Jim Barclay, and William Lindsey Cochran.
