Ocean Child
Ocean Child
Indie Rock
Ocean Child is the brainchild of Chicago rocker Marco Landaverde. He began this bristling, indie-pop meets alt-rock project when he was still in high school. After self-releasing his tunes online, Landaverde eventually turned his creative outlet into a rollicking, full-fledged band. Ocean Child’s new, aptly named single “Sun” feels like a sonic ray of sunshine. The band’s rhythm section exudes buoyant energy from the get-go, while the guitar tones sound like ethereal bits of stardust particles floating through the cosmos. Add Landaverde’s oh-so-inviting vocal delivery into the mix and you’ve got one captivating tune.

Dead Lucid
Dead Lucid
Indie Rock
dead lucid is an enigma. when guitarist/vocalist jon grammer joined bassist ryan rhoades for a quick jam session in a chicago basement, the path was outlined. when drummer andrew tschiltsch was added shortly thereafter, the road was paved. each hailing from different backgrounds and musical influences, their first practice together was like the discovery of steel, a melding of far reaching influences into an alloy of tenacity and finesse, of grace and passion.
within dead lucid’s music, you can feel the dynamics of the pixies, the brazen nature of the stooges, the darkened overtones of joy division, and the improvisational fervor of jimi hendrix.

The band features Zak Johnson on lead vocals, Matt Storey on bass/background vocals, Andrew Kolb on drums/background vocals/guitar, Alvin Santner on lead guitar, and Ian Rottner on rhythm guitar/background vocals.
During their short career, they’ve opened for national acts such as Otherwise and Spoken along with playing shows at well known Chicago venues like The Cubby Bear, Basecamp, Q-bar, Arcada Theatre, and more. The band has also been featured on FOX, NBC, CBS, Garage Bands, Rock Rage Radio, The Tasting Room, The Daily Herald and have even been on the radio in the US and the UK. They were poised to be on the festival circuit 2020 opening for global acts such as Puddle of Mudd, Tantric, Fuel, Local H, and more but the pandemic had other plans. Absolute Phase also has a 9 song album released on December 8th, 2020 called “The Little Black Book”.
So far, 2021 has them focusing on writing new material and releasing more content for their fans with sparse shows in-between.
