Giovanni Kiyingi is a Ugandan folk singer-songwriter and world music artist. He is known for his skills as a multi-instrumentalist who plays the local Ugandan Endingidi, Akogo, Adungu, Endere, djembe, Embuutu, calabash, congas, among others. He was one of the Ugandan artists chosen to welcome Pope Francis in Uganda at Kololo on 27 November 2015. His skill as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and performer have won him invitations to perform at major music festivals and co-operative events in Uganda and the rest of the world.

Phoenix-based latin folk fusion band Medio Pinto uses violin, cuatros, tambor redondo (culo e' puyas) and more to propose a vivacious blend of Afro-Venezuelan roots with elite classical pedigree to nurture vibrant new melodic motifs and infectious rhythms, never resting on the search for diverse and innovative new sounds.   The multi-instrumentalist members draw upon a shared background in the famed Venezuelan symphonic program El Sistema combined with a passion for intertwining tropical beats with world genres.
