NorCal indie, avant-folk artist Gillian Grogan returns to Portland with a band to celebrate the finale of the Bloom Or Bust Tour and fresh summer release of "Ants In The Garden" - the song that took the NPR Tiny Desk Contest by storm last year with a treehouse performance that left many in tears and was one of the few finalists featured on NPR. This 50-date, 20-state garden-themed tour is littered with unique and fleeting duo and trio performances featuring local musicians across the country, offering an early sneak peek of the songs and stories comprising her much-anticipated sophomore record, Honey Moon.
The Bloom Or Bust Tour also launches the 30-day, all-or-nothing Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to finance the artful and independent release of Honey Moon this coming year.
Grogan recently finished recording Honey Moon at 2200 Studios (formerly The Record Plant) in Sausalito, CA with Grammy-nominated co-producer Ben Bloomberg and Grammy-nominated recording engineer Damien Lewis. She collaborated with artists like The Westerlies, Jason Crosby and mix engineer Rob Shelton (Altamira Sound) to weave together little strands of folk, indie, rock, soul and nature itself into a sonic landscape “unlike anything else you’ve heard in 'folk' music today” (Ear To The Ground).
Honey Moon explores questions without answers, love without purpose, and chords without resolve. It embraces readiness without preparation, vulnerabilities without judgement, and seeks to release the present from the past. It is a collection of songs and interludes that speak to a single truth—that it is our flaws which make us most beautiful, just as it is the dust and pollution in the earth’s atmosphere which casts a warm amber hue on the moon at the horizon, as it rises, as it falls, and rises again.
Pairs well with massive vistas, bustling gardens, light mischief, hope and traveling alone. -
Megan Diana is pioneering a new genre: DREAM COUNTRY DISCO. What is dream country disco? Take your favorite vintage keyboard — hello Wurlitzer, hello Fender Rhodes — put them through an echo/delay pedal, add lush, dreamy layers of French horn and vocals, throw in some harmonies, anchor them with throwback drum grooves, and top it all off with space echoed pedal steel guitar.. After the release of her debut album Women in My Head, Megan has been hard at work touring the world and sharing her second album Cabin Fever released in October 2023. She is playing Nest Fest accompanied by singer Mila Phelps Friedl, Adam Beam on drumset, Michael Langman on smooth bass, and Rick Pedroza coming in clutch on the pedal steel.
Follow along @hellomegandiana and listen to Cabin Fever wherever you get your music. -
Lilly Miller is a singer songwriter whose candid, cathartic songs pull you in and reward your attention. Raised in Iowa, she began performing when she moved to Seattle, Washington in 2022. Miller’s debut record, ‘After, now’ (2025) expands her acoustic sound with sonically explorative textures and lush soundscapes. Her forthcoming record, ‘Did Something in Me Break’ (2026), a split with Damien Jurado, features many of her previously recorded songs re-imagined in a warm, live setting.
