My Politic is a Folk/Americana band based in Nashville TN. Kaston Guffey and Nick Pankey grew up together in Ozark MO and started My Politic around the age of 15. Kaston writes character driven story songs and Nick adds sibling-like harmony to create a unique sound that is totally their own. Inspired by artists like John Prine, Woody Guthrie, Randy Newman, Bob Dylan, Patty Griffin Simon & Garfunkel classic country and so much else, My Politic has recorded 9 albums to date and have released 3 of those since moving to Nashville 7 years ago. "Anchor" (2015) "12 Kinds of Lost" (2017) and The band's latest effort, "Short-Sighted People In Power" (released 10/30/2020) is a collection of songs written and recorded between March and August of 2020 hyper-focused on politics & current affairs. The album has been featured in American Songwriter 3 times. They've also had the pleasure of appearing at Americanafest and multiple times at The Bluebird since moving to Nashville. My Politic has been all over the country for years thriving in intimate house concerts settings, listening rooms, dive bars and everywhere in between. My Politic is unique mid-western storytelling in harmony.

Ben Goldsmith is an artist that transcends musical trends. At sixteen years old, he
has established himself as a highly skilled musician, and singer/songwriter and he is a
brilliant live performer. A fierce drive to create music combined with preternatural talent
will establish Ben as a force in music for years to come. Ben’s gift for music presented itself in his earliest years, leading his Mother to enroll him in violin lessons at age four. Soon after, the violin was replaced by guitar lessons and Ben has been consumed by music ever since. The architects of Ben’s musical foundation are guitar teacher Tomo Fujita at the Berklee School of Music and producer Brad Jones of Alex The Great Recording Studio in Nashville. “Tomo helped me find my voice on guitar and Brad has given me the opportunity to use his recording studio as a kind of workshop to create music,” says Ben. “We weren’t trying to make a record, so much as exploring different sounds together, letting him learn what a powerful tool the studio can be,” adds Jones. Ben spent the Covid years traveling to Nashville and writing with some fantastic songwriters. Aaron Ratiere, Bobby Bare Jr., Kenny Greenberg, Hayes Carll, Pat McLoughlin, Preston James, Ronnie Bowman and a host of others, including his main co-writing partner, Catie Trainor. He now has a catalog of over
one hundred songs. Ben will be in Nashville all summer and is releasing his first single, One Day Believer, on July 22nd through his own label, SDTT Records. -
The heiresses apparent to South Central Kentucky’s music scene dynasty are GIRL TONES; a power duo composed of sisters Kenzie and Laila Crowe, who are presently enjoying their meteoric rise across the region’s diverse and competitive soundscape.
The sonic siblings are both classically-trained musicians; cello and piano/strings, respectively, and they both served time in a bluegrass band, but despite such varied disciplines, this dynamic live act has a penchant for rock that far surpass much of the “boys club” in its intensity and delivery of original guitar/vocal/drum-driven music…with some unlikely reinvented covers to raise their bar even further.
These incredibly talented young women are at complete home on stage. Their live performances are garnering newly-minted fans in their massive wake, to be certain, but they are also entirely knocking it out of the park from the other side of the music coin – recording.
No strangers to the recording studio, both having lent their time and expertise as studio musicians and now parlay this experience towards their own music. Their debut single, “Take Me Out”, was independently released in 2019 as a precursor to their debut EP, “Rainbows & Butterflies” and follow-up single, “4th of July”, both released in 2020 on Farm-Out! Records. Their music has been played extensively on regional radio programs as well as countless streams in various internet radio platforms around the world.
Though the height of their live ascent intersected the onset of the historic pandemic, our heroines were not to be sidelined; woodshedding in the interim to write, revise, and expand their original song catalog.
