George Thorogood & The Destroyers
Pop
In a five-decade career fueled by 8,000+ live shows, more than 15 million albums sold, and a global reputation as “the band that plays hot enough to melt the polar icecaps” (Rolling Stone) and “one of the 5 best acts left out of The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” (WNBF Binghamton), where can “one of the most iconic bands in rock history” (Rapid City Journal) possibly go from here?
“That’s all pretty good for the first 50 years,” George Thorogood says with a laugh. “But we keep working harder, digging deeper and playing stronger. Now it’s time to go back out there and do some serious rockin’.” For George Thorogood & The Destroyers, serious rockin’ will always be what they do best. And for 2025, The Baddest Show On Earth Tour will bring the guitar-slinging, amp-blasting, roof-shaking rock party like never before.
George and longtime Destroyers Jeff Simon (drums), Bill Blough (bass), Jim Suhler (guitar) and Buddy Leach (saxophone) are now taking all the drum-bashing, bass-pounding, sax-wailing, monster guitar energy of the past five decades and pouring it into The Baddest Show On Earth Tour, with “the boogie-blues Sinatra” (Classic Rock History) as its relentless ringmaster. “If the circus makes everyone feel like a kid again, this tour will make you feel like a teenager,” George says with a grin. “I consider us to be a musical high-wire act that works without a net, and we’ll be bringing all the danger, thrills, and fun that our audiences can handle. Because that’s what great rock & roll is all about.”

Australia’s Roots Rock artist Hamish Anderson has been generating global attention since 2013. In 2016 Hamish independently released his critically acclaimed debut album, Trouble, produced and mixed by Grammy-winner Jim Scott. “No Good,” “Breaking Down,” and “What You Do To Me” singles all received radio support - the latter reaching the #39 at Americana in 2019.
Also in 2019, The AGE/Sydney Morning Herald profiled him in advance of his Australian shows supporting Gary Clark Jr. Then, after touring the world, Hamish returned to Australia to open for George Thorogood & The Destroyers on his sold out tour. In 2020 Hamish’s sophomore album Out of My Head was awarded the Independent Music Award for Best Album - Blues category. Later that year, he was featured in Guitar Player Magazine (Aug 2020) which resulted in a cover mention as well.
Throughout 2021 and 2022, Hamish released three singles “Morning Light” and "Everything Starts Again" and "Tea & Sympathy” all from his forthcoming album. Notably, "Everything Starts Again" spent several months in Top 40 AAA Radio in the US - debuting at #26.
In 2022, he appeared at Blues on BroadBeach (AUS) for the second time and did eleven dates in support of George Thorogood & The Destroyers upon their return to Australia.
Now in 2023, Hamish is thrilled to announce his return to the USA on tour with George Thorogood marking his FIRST shows in America since 2019.
With a new album underway and new shows announcing soon, don’t miss a chance to see him live. Head to hamishandersonmusic.com to keep in touch.
