Her DJ Club (HDC) is a women-centered DJ community rooted in music, culture, and connection. HDC was created to make more room for women, especially women of color, to learn the fundamentals of DJing in a space where they can feel supported, and free to explore their creativity. To us, DJing is more than what happens behind the decks. It’s an art form, a way of bringing people together, and a culture built through community. That’s why we focus on both the fundamentals of the craft and what it means to show up for one another. Our goal isn’t simply to graduate DJs. We want to cultivate a shared experience that lasts, where people keep learning, sharing music, creating opportunities for one another, and taking up space in an industry where women have historically been underrepresented. At HDC, we’re empowering students with a solid foundation to explore, and expand beyond what they ever dreamed possible.
