Gary Ho Ho Hoey's Rockin' Holiday Show
-
Guitar legend, Gary Hoey, has crafted an incredible career
releasing 17 albums in 18 years. His latest album, Utopia, on
Wazoo Music Group (2010), continues to show his growth as
a producer, songwriter and singer.
In 1993 Gary Hoey launched his career with a cover of “Hocus
Pocus” (Warner Bros Records). His fiery technique helped to
send it to the top 5 on Billboards charts. The Boston raised
guitarist followed up with the soundtrack to the surf saga,
Endless Summer II (Warner/Reprise).
Hoey’s popular Ho! Ho! Hoey series of Christmas CDs and live rock and roll Christmas show
continue to attract new fans each year. His rockin’ versions of Christmas classics have become a
tradition at hundreds of radio stations, and Hallmarkʼs musical holiday greeting cards feature two
Ho! Ho! Hoey classics.
In 2011 Hoey joined forces with the “Queen of Metal,” Lita Ford, producing and co-writing her
forthcoming new album.
Hoey has shared the stage and traded licks with such legends as Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent, Brian
May, Doobie Bros, Joe Satriani, Styx, Steve Vai, Deep Purple, Lita Ford, Brett Michaels and
many more.
Hoey’s diverse career includes writing for TV and film, Disney theme parks (California
Screamin’ Roller Coaster) and sports giant, ESPN. He has performed his rendition of the “Star
Spangled Banner” for the Patriots, Red Sox, Dodgers and Padres. He has also appeared on VH1
Classic’s reality show, Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp.
All along the way, Hoey has built a loyal fan base, and it is his connection with them that keeps
him going. “I come out after every show to meet the fans,” says Hoey. “I enjoy the feedback and
interaction.”
Gary Hoey endorses Fender guitars and amps, EVH amps, Rocktron Pedals and GHS strings.
Gary released his first ever instructional DVD, “The Need for Lead,” with Rockhouse method.
