Gary Dacanay is a veteran journeyman guitarist who has played in wedding bands, fronted his own blues rock band, and has done recording sessions with Hip Hop and R&B artists. He recently embarked on a solo journey singing his own arrangements of Jazz standards and songs from the Great American songbook after several of his guitar students brought in torch songs, which he would sing on the fly and eventually developed a passion for. He adopted and expanded the tunes into his own repertoire and performances.
