KDTU has electrified audiences around the world for over 25 years from the fields of Naeba in Japan at the infamous Fuji Rock Festival to the hallowed stage of Madison Square Garden where they previously joined the Dave Matthews Band and The Godfather of Soul, James Brown. From performing as Sexual Chocolate (Karl was in the original band in the movie Coming To America and its sequel) at the Outside Lands Music festival in San Francisco, to being the first late night act at the inaugural Bonnaroo festival, KDTU have been a dominating force in music for the past 25 years.

All-night, sold-out concerts during Jazzfest in New Orleans have featured sit ins by everyone from Lenny Kravitz & Steve Winwood (with whom Karl has recorded and toured) to avant garde luminaries Marc Ribot & Boyfriend. Chuck Leavell and Bernard Fowler (Karl’s bandmates in The Rolling Stones where Karl replaced the great Bobby Keys as saxophonist in 2014) have joined onstage and on record, as have Lukas Nelson, John Oates, Michael Franti, Warren Haynes, Ivan Neville, Anders Osborne, Big Daddy Kane, Roy Hargrove, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Joshua Redman, Marcus King, and Bernie Worrell, among others.

Touring the country with the Allman Brothers, My Morning Jacket, D'Angelo, The Roots, Public Enemy, Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead, Parliament Funkadelic, Slightly Stoopid, Widespread Panic, very few concert goers have been untouched by the Tiny Universe live. In addition to KDTU, Karl Denson aka “Diesel” is a founding member of the seminal groove act The Greyboy Allstars.

The theorem of turntablist as musician has been long proven in the capable hands of DJ Logic, whom with jazz as his foundation has become a wax innovator by crossing genres and mixing his sound across the map. As one of the world’s most accomplished turntablists, DJ Logic is widely credited for introducing jazz into the hip–hop realms and is considered by most as a highly-respected session musician and an innovative bandleader. 

Since his emergence in the early nineties amidst the Bronx hip-hop scene, the New York City based deejay has been amassing a veritable mountain of collaborations, including a full-fledged band with members of Blues Traveler (The John Popper Project ft. DJ Logic), a trio with Steve Molitz & Freekbass (Headtronics), a jazz project with Georgian prodigy Beka Gochiasvili, and as a member of Grammy-winning Arturo O’Farrill & The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra’s The Offense of the Drum album. He also has a long list of other collaborations with artists ranging from the likes of Bob Weir, John Mayer, Medeski Martin and Wood, Christian McBride, O.A.R., Carly Simon, Marcus Miller, Jack Johnson, Vernon Reid, Warren Haynes, Charlie Hunter, Jack DeJohnette, Ben Harper, Mos Def, The Roots, Bernie Worrell, Bill Laswell, Melvin Gibbs, Fred Wesley, Sean Kuti and many more.

DJ Logic and his role as an electronic-music ambassador keeps him at the top of his game. Whether the scratch artist instructs tablas to flirt with drum ‘n’ bass (such as on his Nina Simone and Billy Holiday remixes found on Sony Legacy’s Remixed and Reimagined volumes), meshes free styling MC’s with Afro-Cuban rhythms (such as on ‘Share Worldwide Funk’ – a remix produced for Jack DeJohnette and Golden Beams Collected, Volume 1), or remixes tracks for rock bands such as Moon Taxi, DJ Logic can always be found paying homage to his predecessors while contributing his vision to the deejay genre.

While the context of his work may vary, DJ Logic’s spinning skills are definitely beyond reproach. He works with a phenomenal roster of invited guests, and he knows how to pick his collaborators as well as his samples. With a growing catalogue of recordings under his belt, DJ Logic’s supreme musicianship and eclectic tastes will allow him to journey wherever an infectious groove may take him.

Multi-instrumentalist and artist Sam Greenfield has made a name for himself in the music industry playing alongside some of the biggest names in the biz. He has toured extensively with Vulfpeck’s Cory Wong, Joss Stone, Dave Koz, and Thank You Scientist.

But he's not just a hired gun - Sam made waves with his latest release “Sam Greenfield Rules,” blending the sophistication of jazz with the lively spirit of pop and funk to create a sound that is uniquely his own. He has built a loyal following, drawing in listeners with his irresistible melodies, grooves, vibrant energy and infectious personality.

And he's no stranger to the recording studio either, having worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Mariah Carey, Queen Latifah, and more. With his fourth album on the horizon for early 2025, Sam Greenfield is sure to cement his place as one of the most exciting musicians on the scene today.

Residual Groove is Connecticut’s Next Big Thing

Hailing from Norwalk, Connecticut, Residual Groove has rapidly made a name for themselves in the jam rock scene with their vibrant energy and musical prowess. Formed by brothers Kiran Edwards (keys/vox) and Previn Edwards (guitar/vox), the band is rounded out by the rhythmic talents of HenryThomas (drums) and Garrett Halstead (percussion).

In 2024, Residual Groove released their highly anticipated debut album, In Dream Time, which was met with widespread acclaim from fans and peers alike. Their innovative sound and compelling live performances have earned them respect from established jam bands such as Goose, Eggy, and Neighbor, who have all praised the band's unique blend of musicianship and creativity.

Residual Groove has had the honor of opening for some of the biggest names in the jam and funk scenes, including Andy Frasco, Eggy, Dogs in a Pile, Karina Rykman, Neighbor, Vasudo, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Melt. Each performance showcases their dynamic ability to use structured songs as springboards for adventurous and well-executed improvisational passages. Lee Ross is a one man party band from Massachusetts. He has played shows all over the eastern US and eastern Canada. Using saxophone, keyboards, and flute he live-loops all sorts of funk and reggae sounds to create a wild musical experience. It's a dance party for everyone's universe! 

In addition to solo shows, he has played saxophone on stage with many notable artists including George Clinton, Guster, State Radio, G. Love & Special Sauce, Twiddle, Lespecial, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Neighbor, and many others.
