Fuácata - Latinx Improv Festival, hosted by Miami's Home for Improv and Sketch Comedy - Just The Funny will take place August 23 and 24, 2019. Fuácata is an annual improv festival celebrating improvisation in the hub for Latin America for multi-national and multi-cultural audiences hungry for the latest in Latinx improvisation. In addition to shows from the hottest Latinx improv acts throughout the weekend, Fuácata will feature networking events for artists, panels and talks and after parties. Schedule and Tickets Each night starts at 9 pm and all shows start on the hour and run 45 minutes. All shows are in either English or Spanglish, featuring some of the top Latinx talent in the country! Tickets for shows are good for the entire night, so get to the theater early and get more bang for your buck! Tickets for each night of Fuácata are $15 pre-sale (online only) and $20 at the door! Saturday, August 24   Flores y Pasiones Miami, FL 9 PM Just The Funny presents the world debut of their signature telenovela all based on your suggestions, and presented in Spanglish. Over the top characters, far-fetched melodrama, and ridiculous plot twists will leave you on the edge of your seat and begging for more! Escándalo! Austin, TX 10 PM An all Latinx improvised telenovela narrative primarily in English with Spanish and Spanglish peppered in (can adjust amount of Spanish higher if desired). We ask the audience for a location suggestion and a narrator gets us started. Chicos AF Miami, FL 11 PM Carlos and Oscar (Chicos) perform their original form "The Jumpoff" incorporating, hip hop, beatboxing and emotional, character filled scenes all based off audience interviews. El Jam Midnight All-star improvisers from Saturday night's shows play together in a Spanglish, anything-goes improv show all based on YOUR suggestions!
