Fuácata - Latinx Improv Festival, hosted by Miami's Home for Improv and Sketch Comedy - Just The Funny will take place August 23 and 24, 2019. Fuácata is an annual improv festival celebrating improvisation in the hub for Latin America for multi-national and multi-cultural audiences hungry for the latest in Latinx improvisation. In addition to shows from the hottest Latinx improv acts throughout the weekend, Fuácata will feature networking events for artists, panels and talks and after parties. Schedule and Tickets Each night starts at 9 pm and all shows start on the hour and run 45 minutes. All shows are in either English or Spanglish, featuring some of the top Latinx talent in the country! Friday, August 23   ¡Que Pasa Improv! Miami, FL 9 PM Are you ready for some bilingual comedy action? Straight from Miami comes ¡Qué Pasa Improv! - Just the Funny Improv Comedy’s in-house Latinx team. From their infectious, high-energy sets to their crazy character based improv, QPI is set to bring it on! ¿No hablas español? No problem! Spanglish is the name of the game and QPI is here to serve it right! *Be sure to get to the theater early (no-Miami time), as QPI will have a special surprise guest at the very top of the show! Las Tinas Chicago, IL 10 PM Las Tinas is a Chicago-based Latinx comedy group formed by women improvisers. Presented in English and Spanglish, Las Tinas performs an improvised telenovela based off of audience suggestions. Improñol Chicago, IL 11 PM Improñol combines the life experiences of the U.S. and Venezuela together in a seamless improvised narrative where language knows no borders. This duo uses English and Spanish interchangeably while providing memorable characters and relationships in a fast-paced show. El Jam Midnight All-star improvisers from Friday night's shows play together in a Spanglish, anything-goes improv show all based on YOUR suggestions!
