A lifelong misfit, alternative trailblazer Frex always carves her own path. Having grown up in
Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with a church pianist grandpa and an older brother who was in a band,
the NY-based songwriter and singer has always had an interest in music - but never imagined she
could make it her career. But it was when her brother gave her his old laptop - through which she
discovered guitar recordings on GarageBand - that Frex decided to record YouTube covers and start
writing songs in her bedroom.
However, because the expectation in her family was to go to business school, Frex kept her music secret
for some time. It wasn’t until 2018 that she released her first album, ‘Blu’; recorded and mixed herself, it
generated buzz online, with one song even making Spotify’s Fresh Finds editorial playlist. Her 2019
track ‘come around’, which was picked up by Lyrical Lemonade, was the moment when Frex realized
that “people were taking me a little bit more seriously”.
After several more singles, she started posting on TikTok - and that’s where she built a fanbase. When
she started teasing what would become her breakthrough track, ‘Oxford Circus’ (which is lyrically
based on a true story of her time in London), the posts quickly resulted in her excited new fans begging
for a release date. The track became a viral hit way before she officially dropped it, in June 2022; it has
since clocked up 26 million streams on Spotify alone.
Since then, Frex has kept the world patiently waiting for what comes next. An artist truly in her own
lane, Frex’s stunning vocal and fresh genre-blending sound - somewhere between Billie Eilish and
Snoh Aalegra - marks her out as a star whose ascendance is endlessly exciting. As well as oozing
flawless musicality (and a keen ambition to break into the fashion world) Frex’s humble journey and
relatable artistic message are what makes her such an important talent: “I want people to know that it’s
okay to be vulnerable with their feelings”.

ROHAN was an Australian kid with big dreams. It's thanks to his Indian mum that he picked up the piano; the rest is history. His subsequent love for punk via Green Day's American Idiot led him to hacking computers and fronting bands out of Melbourne & Singapore. He later moved to California to pursue those childhood dreams and build his own studio in San Francisco. The home studio is where he blends the laid-back grit of Australian indie rock with R&B, electronic, and folk into confessional alt-pop anthems. Self-produced and genre-defiant, his songs journal true stories of heartbreak, vices, and self-discovery—fusing raw guitar riffs, sincere vocals, and laptop-crafted loops.
