SOY DIVISION was created in 2019 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Joy Division's debut album, Unknown Pleasures. They reformed in early 2024 to perform the post-punk gothic masterpiece Closer, Joy Division’s final album released two months after the death of vocalist and lyricist Ian Curtis.
With an unwavering commitment to preserving the essence of Joy Division’s music, they have captivated audiences across Florida with their meticulous renditions of classics such as “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” “Transmission,” and "She's Lost Control” that transport listeners back to the late 1970s and early 1980s, while also delving into the deeper cuts that resonate with long-time fans.
SOY DIVISION features members of Blue Man Group, Distant Stations, The Sh-Booms, and Proxima Tide.
