Description
The second annual “A Nashville Night For Those We Lost” concert Oct. 17 at 3rd & Lindsley will raise much needed donations to the Nashville Musicians Funeral Benefit Fund. The concert honors Jimmy Buffett, Loretta Lynn, Jesse McReynolds, and other AFM 257 members who have passed since the first For Those We Lost show in August 2022. Performers confirmed include Mac McAnally and several members of Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band, Loretta Lynn’s daughters Patsy and Peggy, The McCrary Sisters, Sam Bush honoring Jesse McReynolds, with more to come. Doors open @ 5:30, showtime kicks off at 6pm with sets from the Songwriters Guild of America and The New York Songwriters Collective, with “For Those We Lost” starting at 8 pm. The event will be Livestreamed on Volume.com and there will be auction items and an online fundraising component via the Livestream.
The Local 257 Funeral Benefit Fund is one of very few remaining funds of its kind among AFM locals. Once commonplace, the benefit designed to assist members’ beneficiaries has become a rarity — only Local 47 (Los Angeles) has a similar fund, but it is capped at $1,000. The Local 257 Funeral Fund pays out up to $5000, depending on the length of membership. This fundraiser has two purposes: To celebrate iconic members of Local 257 who have passed in the last year, and to raise funds and awareness of the needs of our current members. Necessary modifications have helped preserve this fund, however, COVID-19 dealt the fund a crushing blow. More than twice the usual number of AFM 257 members passed during the pandemic, and we have paid out more than $370K since 2020.
We invite you to join us at 3rd & Lindsley Oct. 17 for an unforgettable night of music. Tickets are $30 -$200 for 4 top VIP tables, and can be purchased at www.3rdandlindsley.com If you can’t join us, please consider making a donation to the NMA Funeral Benefit Fund. You can mail a check to Nashville Musicians Association, 11 Music Circle North, Nashville, TN. 37203, or use the QR code below to make a donation through PayPal. Thanks, we hope to see you on Oct. 17!

Gospel
The McCrary Sisters perform gospel music that combines traditional and modern elements and draws on their love of Americana, blues, rock, and R&B. Their unbridled love of singing and desire to promote hope, love, and healing are at the heart of all of their work and performances (and dancing).
Ann, Regina, Alfreda, and Deborah, daughters of the late Rev. Samuel McCrary, a founding member of the renowned gospel group The Fairfield Four, grew up in Nashville amidst music, artists, community, and faith. The daughters were brought up in harmony, singing in their father's church and at home. The sisters shared in their family legacy during their formative years by performing alongside performers like Bob Dylan, Elvis, Isaac Hayes, and Stevie Wonder. They also had many individual and collective successes.
The McCrary Sisters, which they formally established in 2011, have since collaborated on songs or performed live with a number of well-known musicians, including Delbert McClinton, Black Keys, Martina McBride, Eric Church, Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, Jonny Lang, Robert Randolph, The Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Rosanne Cash, Carrie Underwood, Hank Williams Jr., Dr. John, Widespread Panic, Sheryl Crow, Maren Morris, Gregg Allman and many more.
