DUMBO GETS MAD
Dumbo Gets Mad is a psychedelic pop project founded in 2011 by Luca Bergomi, a songwriter, producer, and sound designer from Emilia.

The name of the project is inspired by the scene Pink Elephants on Parade, one of the most famous, surreal, and psychedelic sequences in Disney's Dumbo (1941). It is a metaphor for the childlike spirit that confronts and confuses the absurd.

Initially conceived as a duo with Carlotta Menozzi, the project stems from the artist's free vision, which unpredictably and playfully mixes styles, voices, languages, and genres filtered through his own taste.

SHĀHERI

SHĀHERI is a Los Angeles–based musical project where Persian heritage meets psychedelic rock, cinematic groove, and modern guitar-driven sound.

Led by Emmy Award–winning composer Jonathan Shaheri, the project draws inspiration from pre-revolutionary Iranian legends like Kourosh Yaghmaei and Googoosh, reframing those influences through a contemporary lens shaped in Los Angeles. The result is music that feels both timeless and forward-moving - rooted in Persian musical heritage while expanding into a modern psychedelic sound.

Their debut project PERSIĀDELICĀ unfolds across eight tracks of hypnotic groove, vintage textures, and sweeping guitar work. Songs including TARIĀK, DOKHTAR SHEKAR, BANDITĀ, and DONYĀ capture the EP’s distinctive mix of Persian psychedelic influence and modern sonic exploration.

    Psychedelic

The project debuted in Los Angeles with their first album, Elephants at the Door, which immediately attracted the attention of an international fanbase. The first single released, Plumy Tale, was included by critic Joe Tangari among the 50 best tracks of 2011 according to Pitchfork, while Marmalade Kids was chosen by NPR (the American public radio station) as 'song of the day'.

In 2013, the second album, Quantum Leap, was released, which, compared to the debut, presents itself as a true psychedelic jam session; the song Indian Food consolidated the project's presence on the US music scene.

The third album, Thank You Neil, was released in 2015: a soul-tinged record inspired by American astrophysicist and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson. Recorded entirely live, the album showcases a more elegant and minimalist approach to production and once again received widespread acclaim from international critics.

In 2019, the single Makes You Fly was released by the French label Nice Guys, anticipating the album Things Are Random And Time Is Speeding Up, released in February 2021 and followed by a tour in North America and Mexico.

In 2021, Dumbo Gets Mad collaborated with Marracash on the production of the album Noi, Loro, Gli Altri. A skit of the same name is also featured on the album.

Dumbo Gets Mad has performed more than 100 live shows in Europe and the Americas. He has played at major festivals in Mexico (Hypnosis Festival in Mexico City), Texas (South by Southwest, Levitation Festival), Idaho (Treefort Music Festival), the United Kingdom (Manchester Psych Fest), and in the most prestigious venues in the world: Babys' Alright in New York, Lodge Room in Los Angeles, Empty Bottle in Chicago, Foro Indie Rocks in Mexico City, and Supersonic in Paris, to name a few.

In Italy, he has been a protagonist at the main Italian festivals and in 2022 he performed on the main stage of MIAMI FEST.

In April 2025, he played for the first time in Asia, with two shows in Tokyo and one in Taipei.
His live performances are known for their sonic and visual intensity, with meticulously crafted sets, layered arrangements, and a psychedelic aesthetic that has always characterized the project.

In 2025, he signed with the historic Italian independent label Carosello Records to develop his fifth studio album, preceded by the single Pariah. With his new album Dumbo Gets Mad, he places himself in the role of an observer of what is happening around him: reporting, rather than talking about, the facts, suggestions, and sensations that have crossed his mind during these years of writing. The album is shaped like an egg, a symbol that has always represented the birth of life itself and its fragility.

Before anything else, SHĀHERI has earned a reputation for their live performances - immersive, unpredictable, and impossible to replicate. Through a run of headline shows across North America, the band has drawn packed rooms and built a devoted following around a concert experience that feels as transportive as it is electric.

With debut performances across Europe and Latin America planned this summer and new music on the way, SHĀHERI stands at a rare intersection of cultures and eras, where the spirit of Persian psychedelic music moves confidently into new territory.
