FIA
The Voice of Island Soul & Reggae Fusion
FIA, a five-time Island Music Award winner, is a singer-songwriter hailing from Nanakuli, Hawai‘i, with Samoan roots and a deep love for R&B, soul, and reggae. Bursting onto the scene with his sophomore single Love Me, FIA quickly became a household name in the Island Reggae community. The track, now an enduring anthem, boasts over 42.5 million Spotify streams and 28 million YouTube views, and remains one of the most highly requested songs at his live performances.
In 2019, FIA cemented his status as a rising star, sweeping the Island Music Awards by winning all four of his nominations: Male Solo Artist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Breakout Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year. He later added a fifth award to his collection, claiming another Music Video of the Year honor in 2021. That same year, FIA headlined his first South Pacific tour, captivating audiences across the region.
FIA’s introspective and relatable songwriting resonates with listeners of all ages. With hits like Fly Away, Take Me, and Be Better—an inspirational track off the Cali Riddim project produced by Collie Buddz—his music effortlessly blends emotional storytelling with vibrant rhythms.
FIA’s live performances showcase his dynamic artistry and ability to connect with audiences. He has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, including an NBA halftime show at the Staples Center, and at festivals like Cali Roots and Holo Holo Festival. Domestically, he has toured extensively across Hawai‘i and the West Coast, opening for icons such as Rebel Souljahz, The Green, Kolohe Kai, Steel Pulse, and Katchafire. Internationally, FIA has headlined tours across New Zealand, Australia, and the Cook Islands and performed at Promiseland Festival, where he shared the stage with legends like Lauryn Hill, TEMS, L.A.B, Givēon, Fiji, and Inner Circle.
In August 2024, FIA released his debut album Never Give Up, a collection of tracks that further solidify his position as one of Island music’s most innovative and heartfelt voices.
With his authentic artistry and universal appeal, FIA continues to redefine Island music, bringing his unique blend of R&B, soul, and reggae to the global stage. Whether he’s performing for thousands at a festival or connecting with fans through his music, FIA’s passion and talent shine through, making him a true artist to watch.
