A hardcore punk band based in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. We’ve played an array of different shows since 2021, ranging from toxic beaches to bart trains to venues who sometimes feed us.

Teenage Punks from the Bay

Surprise Privilege is a San Francisco based hardcore punk band. They were founded in 2018, and were mostly active after mid 2021. Surprise Privilege was started by two friends, Cody Azumi and Joey Silberman, in their senior year of high school as a joke. The joke gradually became something more after they continued to attend local shows and learned how to record and release music on their own, using one microphone and Garageband.
