The name, “Trifecta”, has quickly become synonymous with the term “Ultimate Rock Show”, because that is exactly what you can expect at a Trifecta show. What makes it even more impressive is that the two founders of the group, guitarist Alex Sciglio, and drummer Tyler Galasso, are musically beyond their years at the ripe “old” ages of 19 and 18. Alex was already a veteran by the age of 10, having played alongside acts such as Zebra, Melvin Taylor, and working with the great Mark Hitt and Roxy Perry. The two Putnam County natives had originally formed the group while still in high school in 2012, learning and performing many of the greatest classic rock, blues, funk and fusion favorites known to the music world. Along with numerous bass players, the group had also written a collection of classic rock / fusion genre originals, a couple of which had become a staple at their live shows.
Fast forward to October 2013, Trifecta found themselves minus a bass player, while at the same time preparing for an upcoming performance. Enter Mike Seminara, a long-time teacher at Mahopac’s Putnam Music Center. With the group in a bind needing a bassist for the upcoming show, Mike agreed to fill in, because after all, the show must go on. The new trio was a big hit, and let’s just say that the chemistry was there! With piercing vocal harmonies, strong musicianship, and a stage presence that would leave most witnesses exhausted, it wasn’t too long before Alex and Tyler would ask Mike to become a permanent member of Trifecta.
With the new Trifecta running on all cylinders, you can catch them performing all around the Hudson Valley!
