    Everyone is Dirty

    Alternative Rock

Formed in early 2013 in Oakland, Everyone Is Dirty has been steadily rising on the strength of their hard-hitting home recordings described as "bedroom-tapes on bath-salts" and their explosive live show, distinguished by frontwoman Sivan Lioncub's exotic electric-violin antics and emotionally charged performance. Her violin style has been described as punk, noise, romantic, ethereal, and it encompasses all that, but her violin is a captivating tool of self expression that you really just have to witness. As she moves across the stage wielding her fiddle like a weapon, co-songwriter/engineer Christopher Daddio culls monstrous tones out of his beat-up acoustic guitar, while heavyweights drummer Tony Sales and bassist Tyler English keep that rhythm section cooking hot hot.

Their debut LP, Dying Is Fun, was released on vinyl & digital formats in September of 2014 on SF's Tricycle Records, and made the year's top 10 list on The Bay Bridged, SF Weekly and KQED, and they played BFD, Noisepop, and Treefort. Strange, but shortly after Dying Is Fun was released, Sivan became deathly ill due to a penicillin allergy, and was hospitalized for several months. Looking back on that time, she feels that the album was a prophecy for the illness she later endured. If you want to know if she still thinks Dying Is Fun, you'll have to ask her.

  • Tino Drima

    Tino Drima

    Rock

Tino Drima is a cauldron of then, now, and what will be. Crooning hell harmonies over charmed, ripping beats Tino channels music that feels like it has always existed. Think the inter-dimensional 50s radio in Old Man Cooper's house that portals Classics from a more excellent world into his living room and everybody wants to hang out and listen and maybe stay the night even though it's p weird there.

  • BATTLEHOOCH

    BATTLEHOOCH

    Alternative Rock

Battlehooch is the kind of band you thought went extinct along with landline phones and cassette tapes. In one sense they’re a band from another, sturdier era: a band that releases consistently quality material on a consistent basis, a band that doesn’t sacrifice creative drive for commercial interest, a band that grows and evolves with each successive release. From the beautiful madcap mess of debut LP Piecechow to the more refined yet still quite surrealistic jams on Hot Lungs to a cool, polished psych-rock sheen on 2014’s Wink EP, Battlehooch has proven itself as a band built to last. They may possess an old-school mindset, but their music is diverse and daring enough to fit perfectly into this wild new century.

Formed in San Francisco - the birthplace of psychedelia - it’s fitting that the six-piece collective echoes the city’s tie-dyed past in its own compositions. However, the group isn’t content with becoming a mere tribute to a time period they never lived through. Instead, Battlehooch updates the sound of psychedelia for a new generation, one that can now access dozens of genres and millions of songs with a few clicks of an iPhone. Battlehooch reflects this modern trend of manic music consumption: on any of their many releases, the listener will be treated to a sonic smorgasbord, bouncing from hard rock to dance-pop to mind-warping head trips to flirtations with electronica and jazz and Afrobeat and everything in between within the span of a few minutes, sometimes even seconds.

Most recently Battlehooch has released the single "Type One Error" and its B-side "Grace of Lace" in 2015, two more songs that further demonstrate the progression of a band that never seems content to stay in one place, creatively peripatetic, reliably experimental. The band is currently looking to release a series of singles in 2016 as well, focusing on shorter bursts of material rather than formal EPs or long-players, keeping the output as fresh and fast as possible.

Previously the band has held opening slots for Of Montreal, Yacht, Crystal Castles, The Danielson Family, Ponytail, Nomo, Gza (from Wu-tang Clan,) and Cherub. They have also had their track featured in a national TV ad for Go Pro Cameras that showed during the Olympics and Monday night Football.

  • Midnight Sons

    Midnight Sons

    Alternative Rock

Inspired by the same spirit that spawned the Byrds’ Sweetheart of the Rodeo and the Flying Burrito Brothers, San Francisco’s Midnight Sons bring 60’s-70’s California Country Rock into the contemporary rock scene, fusing youthful DIY spirit and unquestioned country chops to create a timeless sound rooted in the past but geared for modern audiences. Following a rapid string of successful Bay Area shows, sharing the stage with the likes of Burger Records superstars Natural Child and Flint, MI Outlaw road warriors Whitey Morgan and the 78’s, Midnight Sons took to the studio with Cool Ghouls’ Ryan Wong and are preparing to self-release their self-titled cassette EP in early 2016.
