Description
Erik Jekabson is a versatile and highly accomplished jazz trumpet player, composer, and educator known for his lyrical tone, inventive improvisations, and creative compositions. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jekabson has established himself as a prominent figure in the jazz community, performing with a wide range of notable musicians and ensembles. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with luminaries such as John Mayer, Illinois Jacquet, Galactic, and Kermit Ruffins. Jekabson's adaptability and skill have allowed him to work in diverse musical settings, from intimate jazz combos to large orchestras. His playing seamlessly blends traditional jazz influences with modern sensibilities, reflecting the influence of trumpet greats like Miles Davis and Freddie Hubbard while showcasing his own distinct voice.
In addition to his work as a sideman, Erik Jekabson leads his own ensembles, including the Erik Jekabson Quintet and the Electric Squeezebox Orchestra, a dynamic Bay Area big band that explores innovative compositions and arrangements. As a bandleader, Jekabson has released multiple critically acclaimed albums, including Intersection, Crescent Boulevard, and Erik Jekabson Quintet Live at the Hillside Club. Beyond his performance career, Jekabson is also a dedicated educator, teaching at the California Jazz Conservatory and leading workshops and clinics for aspiring musicians. His contributions to the jazz scene, both as a performer and educator, have made him a vital part of the Bay Area’s thriving jazz ecosystem, earning him recognition for his artistry, creativity, and commitment to keeping jazz vibrant and relevant.

Bar Room is Open 5pm - Midnight for all, with or without tickets.
Kind Reminder: Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.

Refund Policy
ALL CONCERT TICKET SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. However, we do offer ticket transfers from one name to another, provided you email us your e-ticket confirmation and the name(s) you would like your ticket(s) transferred to via shows@snugjazz.com before 5pm on day of show, or sooner. You can also choose to gift your ticket(s) to our New Orleans Music Student Program where un-claimed tickets are offered to young music students and/or rising musician apprentices, if you cannot use your ticket(s). We can also transfer tickets from one show TIME to another on the SAME DATE ONLY, *provided space is available* at the time of your request. You must email shows@snugjazz.com before 5pm on day of show with your request. Tickets are NOT transferrable to a different artist/date.
